Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm Location: COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY in New York City; Satow Room, 5th Floor, Alfred Lerner Hall: Enter the Columbia University campus through the gate at 115th Street and Broadway. Follow the path to the entrance of Lerner Hall on the right. What is Disability Studies? As programs, courses, scholarship and interest grow, we are pausing for a moment, at the University Seminar in Disability Studies, to provide a basic primer in disability studies for faculty, graduate students and all interested parties. For those who have been using disability studies, but need a refresher, for those who are new and curious, and for those well versed in disability studies seeking active dialogue on the roots, frameworks and uses of the field. If making requests for interpreters or parking accommodations, please reply by October 6, 2005. Parking is available for a fee of $15. Please consider making a tax deductible donation.
