See Michael's resume.

At one of the largest telecommunications providers in the world, he helped to identify and solve problems of an urgent nature that affected customer experience.

He has been involved in both customer care and product management of messaging and Internet-related products for more than 15 years. He has also specialized in Internet security issues (supporting one of the largest dial up networks in the world) and web site accessibility. One of his employers, an Internet service provider, won three J.D. Powers & Associates awards in four years.

Michael is also a world-recognized expert about the accessibility of electronic and information technology for people with disabilities and helped write a leading book, "Constructing Accessible Web Sites," about web site accessibility. The book taps his extensive experience in assessing the accessibility of web sites and other types of electronic and information technology products.

He has been involved with the International Center for Disability Resources on the Internet since its inception more than six years ago and now serves as the chairman of the board of trustees for the Center. He is also the Center's webmaster and is currently supervising the redesign of the icdri.org web site to make it more accessible and to provide a model of accessibility for others.

Michael has made many presentations about disability issues around the world. He is a frequent presenter at the CSUN Conference about technology and people with disabilities.

He is also an expert on telework and people with disabilities. He has made numerous presentations about telework and has a paper on the AT&T Telework.

Michael enjoys teaching. He says, while teaching is one of the most challenging jobs he has ever had, it is also the most satisfying. He believes he learns more than the students, and, when one of his students succeeds in what he or she is trying to do, that is the most satisfying thing of all!
